There are many, many ways you can get visibility for yourself and your business:

  • Speaking to local groups
  • Presenting at conferences
  • Being a member or officer of a local organization
  • Guesting on podcasts or hosting your own podcast
  • Doing Facebook Live and YouTube videos
  • Hosting webinars
  • Being active in Facebook groups and other online communities

But, you can’t do all of these at the same time.

You have to choose which are the best ones based on where you’re at in your business, where your target audience is, and what’s going to be the most effective. (Listen to Episode 45 on Your Visibility Roadmap: Build Your Business, Brand, and Influence for more.)

In this on-air coaching call, I help my client Wendy Zanders, a professional home organizer, decide where she should focus her visibility efforts.

Our conclusion: Less is more.

We also talk about the importance of having email opt-ins for tracking purposes, but why selling one-on-one services via email marketing doesn’t usually work and what to do instead once they’ve signed up for your list.

I’d love to hear from you! What’s been working for your visibility strategy?
