More and more social media platforms, from Instagram and Pinterest to LinkedIn, are encouraging users to create videos and prioritizing video in their algorithms.
As entrepreneurs, speakers, and content creators, how can we effectively use different types of video formats for thought leadership, brand awareness, and sales?
My guest is Stacy Mayer, a Certified Executive Coach and founder of Executive Ahead of Time, helping women get promoted into the executive suite on their own terms.
I’ve noticed Stacy using video on LinkedIn, so I invited her on the podcast to share what’s been working for her.
Stacy and I talk about:
- The types of videos she creates (length, format, content)
- Finding a way to be both natural and rehearsed (I love the phrase she uses)
- The process Stacy goes through to create and edit the videos
- The results she’s seeing on LinkedIn
- How she’s using video in her sales process and the big impact it’s had
- How she uses video to pitch for speaking engagements

Thank you both for sharing what you’ve learned! This was a fun, interesting, and valuable podcast. I can implement some things right away, and I have a starting point to consider some things to my larger-picture outlook.
I’ll look into Loom. Bonjoro is another video tool I’ve been looking into. It integrates with other apps for things like email marketing and for contact to students as they progress through asynchronous courses (as examples).
With presentations, I agree about Zoom. I used OBS Studio to create a screen window that had both my camera feed and presentation in-one. The customer recorded it and the recording was fine (it was their account). But there were students that had live stream lag issues and fuzzy slides that they couldn’t read (bad result). I’m wondering if mmmhmmm is better with this? I’ve been looking into webinar software for future training sessions, to use instead.
Hi, Dianna,
Thanks for your comment and for listening to the podcast! I’ve heard of Bonjoro, but haven’t used it yet. Thanks for the recommendation!
